Star Wars Miniatures
The Star Wars Miniatures collection offers a great board game that doesn't require too much time or space to play. The miniatures are also exactly the right size for use with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, which I would highly recommend. The old roleplaying system was made by West End Games, which I haven't tried.

Product Description
Will Jar Jar lead Qui-Gon out of the slimy swamp? The Naboo swamps are filled with creatures, including Jar Jar Binks. Battle droids roam the swamps on STAP hovercrafts. Battle droid to close? Qui-Gon Jinn has his lightsaber to ward off attacks.

Editorial Review
Qui-Gon Jinn first realizes that Jar Jar Binks is going to be a handful when the gangly amphibian practically knocks the Jedi master into a swamp puddle during the Trade Federation attack on the planet Naboo. This 81-piece set from LEGO lets you build everything you need to reenact that scene from Star Wars: Episode I, The Phantom Menace. (And no doubt Qui-Gon would appreciate it if you could keep him a little drier this time.) The Naboo Swamp set comes with mini figures of both the Gungan and the Jedi (with lightsaber), plus two long-snouted battle droids; the remaining pieces let you put together swamp vegetation and a couple of swooping STAP hovercraft units for the pair of droids to fly on. Of course, as always, you can recombine these pieces anyway you'd like. Maybe it's even time that Jar Jar got his own ship... --Paul Hughes

When i bought my lego with my mom i saw on the box the Jinster had on a brown cape. I opened my toy and could not find the stinkin'cape! But overall i loved the toy. Try pretending that the battle droids blow off Jinster's head with their S.A.S.T.S. then replece the lightsaber in Jar's hand and destroy the droids! I reccomend buying this toy. Oh yeah, don't listen to the kids who dont like the toys'reviews!

From what I read from the reviews about this lego you would think that this toy was great. Well let me tell you something this toy is awful. It's not much fun, even for little kids. I gave my little brother this lego last year and right after it was built it kept falling apart. My mom had to glue the pieces together just to get it to stay together. I'm very dissapointed.

The swamps of Naboo are home to many creatures. (Jar Jar and Qui Gon UNFORTUNATLY) This set comes with 2 STAPs, JJB, and the Jinnster. (Qui gon) The STAPs are the coolest part of the set! to give the illusion that they are flying the STAPs are mounted on tranparent energy beams. To make this set in a swamp setting, the designers added some vegetation in. Sometimes I remove the green whips (In this case VINES) from the tree's and pretend that the Battle Droids have made Jar Jar and Qui Gon slaves and are making the eat the trees!!! Jar Jar Binks is a very fun dude because of his head. Here's a recipe for fun:
JAR JAR: JEDI MASTER
1) Remove Jar Jar's Gungan head from his body.
2) Remove Quigons head from his body.
3) Place Jar Jar's head on Qui Gon's body.
4) Place Qui Gon's head on Jar Jar's Body.
Voila! Now you have Jar Jar: Jedi master and Qui Gon of Ohto Gunga!!
Oh yeah, I'm doing a set review!
I don't know of any store that markets it, other than this website, but if you see it, you might consider buying it.

3 out of 5 stars Accessory Set   July 16, 2001

This set is great as an accessory to any of the Trade Federation battle sets from Lego. The STAPs are a wonderful addition.

You will get yet another Jar Jar and Qui-Gon figure but that isn't a problem - there are many other uses for them.

An excellent option - but not a must have.
